Zhaoxue Lu

Dr. Lu was one of the few acupuncturists in the United States who was not only a MD in China, but also had an additional 6 years specialty training with highest medical degree. Dr. Lu earned his doctoral degree in internal medicine from the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China. He also holds bachelor and master degrees in orthopedics and traumatology and worked as orthopedic surgeon and acupuncturist in China. Currently, Dr. Lu is the Chair of AOM at the doctoral studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and clinical assistant professor at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU)

Pain specialist: Dr. Lu is credentialed and member of American Academy of Pain Management focusing on pain in the muscles and joints; orthopedic and sports injuries; neurological disorders. He is a TCM endocrinologist focusing on diabetes, thyroid issues and obesity. He is also has strong interest in cancer care and infertility

Dr. Lu has over 30 years teaching experience at university level in both China and the United States. He has great knowledge and experience in integrating western medicine and Chinese medicine. Dr. Lu holds hospital privilege, working at OHSU and maintains a busy private practice.
