About
Practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine for over 30 years has given me the opportunity to address a wide range of conditions from the common cold to immune related disorders. As well, I can see that in most cases nutrition and lifestyle have a significant impact on the number of treatments necessary to correct the issue. I welcome patients that are open to making changes in these areas that will assist their care and lead them toward a state of health and wellness.
Historically, acupuncture is most well known for the treatment of pain. I hesitated to check "pain management" because my goal is to help the patient to get to a "no-pain" state if possible for the patient. At the beginning of treatments, we quantify pain levels and identify activities that make the pain worse/better.
At each treatment, we spend about fifteen minutes reviewing how the condition is responding to treatment and how changes in diet/lifestyle is going before we do acupuncture which is an additional 30-45 minutes. The initial consultation/evaluation lasts thirty minutes to also review labs and/or xray/MRI summaries before the acupuncture.
